Minimum Requirements:
- Matric/Senior Secondary Qualification (NQF4)
- Minimum of 2 - 5 Years experience within an Air & Sea Freight Controller position
- Experienced in all Imports and Exports (Air/Sea) processes from Collection to Invoicing management of complete Client File will be advantageous
- Minimum of 2-5 Years experience in a Freight Forwarding Operational Environment (Air & Sea Freight)
- Must have sound knowledge and experience of working with Incoterms
- Knowledge of Perishable/Reefer Shipments and all document requirements, PPECB inspections will be advantageous
- Fully computer literate in all MS Office Suite Applications
- Expert user knowledge and working experience of CargoWise (pre-requisite)
- Valid Drivers and Own vehicle (advantageous but not a pre-requisite)
Key Performance Areas will include but not be limited to:
- Manage all imports & exports (Air & Sea) and manage client file from A-Z
- Monitor and complete management of shipments from supplier to consignee
- Liaise directly with shipping lines, transporters, customs, and suppliers
- Liaise directly with customers (origin & destination)
- Arrange insurance
- Coordinate the freight movement and customs clearance
- Cost freight movement and prepare estimates, arrange insurance cover, and process claims
- Monitor cargo tracing and track& trace all shipments to destination
- Responsible for registering and updating of all files
- Compile and manage all invoicing of files
- Uploads documents to CargoWise, capture required information in order for entry clerk to process
- Ensure timeous and correct capturing of information, split documentation, and invoice
- Ensure booking of Cargo, monitoring loading dates and keep clients update and informed
- Responsible for all preparation of export documentation
- Expedite clearance of outbound and inbound shipments
- Ensure that all paperwork is correctly completed and documented
- Generate export documentation
- Complete registration of export files
- Processing and submission of documentation - export Bills of Entry
- Ensure that all tariff headings are correctly applied
- Arrange documents (Cargo dues/S1 to shipping lines/co-loaders/Eur1/Certificate of Origins/ Phytosanitary certificates/ SADC)
- Effect creditors disbursements and process debtors invoices
- Comply with the requirements of the quality management system
